The Essex, Dublin and Derby are tanned using Horween’s 100 year old Cordovan veg tan liquor formula. The Dublin is a bit more rugged looking than the Essex line this leather starts off as. The hides are infused with wax and then heat plated which enhances the grain, creates a pull-up effect and adds a bit more rigidity than the leather. Just like many of Horween’s leathers, it works great for just about any leather project.
