Essex – Shadow
Shadow Essex has a unique, deep gray/brown coloring to the hide. Essex is a full grain leather tanned with Horween’s time-tested Shell Cordovan veg tanning liquors. The hides are then nourished with a blend of grease, fats & oils to give the leather a soft, yet durable, well rounded feel. Typically made in earth tone and natural veg tan colors. Just like many of Horween’s leathers, it works great for just about any leather working project from bags to shoes to wallets.
Second run hides; some may have defects ranging from: incorrect color, holes, loose break, tannery swatch cuts, etc. Many times, we have also created our own color names for these hides. These should not be referenced to identify any leathers not sold here at Maverick.
