Montana is a veg re-tan leather with a slightly buffed grain and wax finish. This combination creates a rugged leather that will heal easily when scratched or scuffed. Buffed grain leather is a form of nubuck leather, usually a bit less sanded. Limited stock – second run. Made in the USA.

These are second run hides which means some hides may have issues ranging from a color defect/variation to brands, holes, scarring, loose break, drawn grain, tannery swatch cuts, etc. Many times, we have also created our own color names for these hides, and these should not be referenced to identify any leathers not sold here at Maverick.
