Saddle Boar – Heavy Tumbled

Heavyweight Saddle Boar hides we dry milled in house – softening the leathers temper, making them perfect for chaps, horn wraps, footwear and more. If you prefer the heavy temper, we have the untumbled hides here.

Saddle Boar’s heavy weight and medium to firm temper make for an incredibly strong product. Used by many for Arizona Step-ins & batwing chaps, horn wraps, hunting moccasins, aprons and more. Gauging at 9/10oz thickness, this particular lot is heavier than our standard stock Saddle Boar.

Boar hides can be rugged at times, which means that they may have some scarring, grain spots, or a small hole here or there. When ordering online, drop us an “Order Note” during check out to let us know what you are making or if you need a certain dimension for your product.
