Derby – Black

This run of Black Derby does have leather dust on the flesh side, which is caused sometimes by tumbling veg tanned hides. A great way to take care of this is by using a horse hair brush or a lint roller for removal.

The Essex, Dublin and Derby are tanned using Horween’s 100 year old Cordovan veg tan liquor formula. Dublin is a bit more rugged looking than the Essex leather it starts off as. The hides are infused with wax and then heat plated which enhances the grain, creates a pull-up effect and adds a bit more rigidity than the leather. Just like many of Horween’s leathers, it works great for just about any leather project. Limited Stock. Made in USA.
