Description
Dublin Type – Charcoal
The Charcoal is a very dark gray (almost black) color with minimal pull-up effect.
The Essex, Dublin and Derby are tanned using Horween’s 100 year old Cordovan veg tan liquor formula. A bit more rugged looking than the Essex line that this leather starts off as. The hides are infused with wax and then heat plated which enhances the grain, creates a pull-up effect and adds a bit more rigidity to the leather. Just like many of Horween’s leathers, it works great for just about any leather project.
We will refer to Horween Leathers as a “type” when we have no way of telling the exact tannage. Many times, we have created our own color names. New leathers are constantly being developed at the tannery, and we have no way of identifying the leather exactly. We do the best we can to identify type, color etc.
