Illini Latigo- Black Shoulders

Horween Illini Latigo (also known as “Bighorn” Latigo to many people) is an aniline mill dyed leather with a waxed flesh and grain. Drum stuffed and fat liquored to provide this leather with enough nourishment to last a lifetime. Veg re-tanned sides with a firm temper.  These are double shoulders available in 5/6oz and 8/9oz thickness.

These are second run hides which means some hides may have issues ranging from (but not limited to) a color defect/variation, brands, holes, scarring, loose break, drawn grain, tannery swatch cuts, etc. Many times, we have also created our own color names for these hides, and these should not be referenced to identify any leathers not sold here at Maverick.
