Latigo Type – Saddletan
Horween’s Latigo line is a full grain, veg retan leather. Characterized by a beautiful tight grain and made in a full range of color, finishes, weights and tempers. Many people think of Latigo as the original saddlery style leather. While Horween will produce it in matte or gloss finishes, heavy or soft tempers, it can also be produced in a full aniline, semi aniline, or pigment finishes, as well as naked, hand glazed or waxed. Limited Stock. Made in the USA.
2nd Run – hides may have defects like brands, healed scars, holes, loose break, tannery cuts, etc.
We will refer to miscellaneous Horween leathers as a “type” when we are not 100% sure of the exact tannage. But feel it is closest to that type/tannage of leather. Many times, we have created our own color names. New leathers are constantly being developed at the tannery, and we have no way of identifying the leather exactly. We do the best we can to identify type, color etc.
