Dearborn is a glovey/soft tempered leather that is made to imitate soft deer hide. Unlike deer leather the cowhide will hold up to heavier use. Great for moccasins, soft bags and pouches. Color may vary from side to side. 2nd Run – hides may have defects like brands, healed scars, holes, loose break, tannery cuts, etc.
The Essex, Dublin and Derby are tanned using Horween’s 100 year old Cordovan veg tan liquor formula. Dublin is a bit more rugged looking than the Essex leather it starts off as.
