Vermont is a vegetable tannage from Horween that displays a supple temper and feel. Great for jackets, lining footwear and many other custom leather projects of your choosing. Slight “rustic” look with some areas of light grain damage. 2nd Run – hides may have defects like brands, healed scars, holes, loose break, tannery cuts, etc.
Tanned using a slow process to create a firm, dense leather that is ideal for wet molding and stamping. Great for sheaths, holsters, bags straps, razor strops, welts and belts (when long enough). The veg tanned strips come from the heaviest section of the hide. Horse has a very tight grain structure, creating a denser leather in comparison to cowhide.…
