Derby – Black

Black Derby is drum dyed in a solid black color which beautifully displays it’s milled grain.

Horween Derby starts out as Dublin, a full bodied leather with a rugged, refined wax finish. The added wax also creates a pull-up effect and a bit more rigidity to the hides. The Dublin sides are dry milled to break in the hides – softening the temper and enhancing the grain appearance.  Limited stock – second run. Made in USA.

2nd Run – some hides may have defects like brands, holes, scarring, loose break, drawn grain, tannery swatch cuts, etc. Many times, we have also created our own color names for these hides, which should only be referenced to identify leathers sold here at Maverick.
