Lizard Skins

(2 customer reviews)

Lizard skin is a versatile and highly sought-after material commonly used for crafting handbags, footwear, watchbands, belts, wallets, sheaths, holsters, and other small leather goods. We offer a variety of lizard skins in many stunning colors, but supplies are limited, so act quickly!

The lizard species we carry include the Teju Lizard (Salvator rufescens) from Argentina and the Java Lizard (Varanus salvator) from Southeast Asia. These skins are primarily sourced from wild-caught lizards, with some ranching also contributing to the supply. The leather is a byproduct of the meat industry, as lizards are consumed as a protein source by millions of people across East and Southeast Asia, Africa, and parts of the southeastern United States. Other parts of the animal are also utilized for culinary specialties and pet treats.

Known for its refined scale pattern, lizard skin is naturally soft, thin, and remarkably easy to cut and sew, making it a favorite for creating intricate and luxurious leather goods. Don’t miss the chance to work with this exotic material while it’s still available!

These are good value and some of them are quite large. The weight is a little heavier than what you get from some other suppliers and the work well for wallets, card cases and passport holders.
